Northeast Region of the United States:

One of the four regions of the United States designated by the U.S. Census Bureau for the purposes of data collection and analysis is the Northeast. The Northeastern United States region is a geographical area of the United States. It is also known as the Northeast, the East Coast, or the American Northeast. The nine American states that make up the region are typically listed as follows: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The Northeastern United States, as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, has a total area of 181,324 sq mi (469,630 km2), of which 162,257 sq mi (420,240 km2) is land mass, making it the smallest region in terms of both land mass and total area in the country.

The Midwestern region of the United States is also known as the Midwest or American Midwest, which is one of the four regions of the United States as per the United States Census Bureau. It is located in the northern central parts of the country. It is situated between the Northeastern and Western US, with Canada to the north and the Southern US to the south. As defined by the Census Bureau, the Midwest region of the United States includes 12 states and they are Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

The Southern United States is a geographical and cultural region of the United States of America, often known as Dixie, the Southern States, the American South, the Southland, or simply the South. It is located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Western United States, with Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico to its south and the Midwest and Northeastern United States to its north. This United States Region is composed of three divisions namely South Atlantic, East South Central and West South Central. These three divisions consist of the states like Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Western Region of the United States

The Western United States is the one of the United States regions that contains the country's westernmost states. This United States Region is popularly known as the American West, the Far West and the West. The Rocky Mountains, the Great Basin, the Pacific Coast, and the state of Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific Ocean are all included in the U.S. Census Bureau's definition of the 13 westernmost states. The Midwestern and Southern United States are to the east of the Western United States, with Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.
